Okay, so it has been unforgivably way too long since I have
updated this thing… But, I have some pretty good excuses for my wicked absence.
- We have been expanding the farm hardcore. We now have something like twenty pigs, when the last time I updated this thing we had a number closer to zero… wait, it was zero.
- I am a full-time college student as well as a full time farmer. Sometimes (most of the time) I run out of hours in the day.
- It has been a very, very busy time of year here on the farm. We have been canning and preserving vegetables (and tomatoes) in every nook and cranny of our already way too hectic schedule. But on the bright side, we managed to put up over thirty gallons of sweet corn, a hundred quarts of beets, a hundred quarts of green beans, two hundred quarts of tomatoes, fifty pints of chili, and over two hundred pints of varies sauces and relish type food stuffs…
- And a bunch of other such ilk
So, that is way less than an exhaustive list of where I have
been and what I have been up to, but it is a start. Oh, and I have also been working
the farms actual website (I finally named the place), but I haven’t figured out
exactly what I am going to do about the blog situation. More than likely I am going
to have to move real estate one last time (final time, I promise).
It will
still be a few weeks (more like months) before the blog moves to its final home
on the Farm’s website… so until then I will continue to blog on here. I already
have an idea for the next post; hopefully I can find the time later today to
work on it… but I’m not even going to pretend to promise anything there.
Oh, and it’s
good to be back.
